Nevada Jack McKenzie (Johnny Mack Brown) viaja a la ciudad de Blackwell, para descubrir que el Alguacil Ben (Roy Barcroft) y banquero de la ciudad de Barrio (Sam Pedernal) de la cabeza de una banda de ladrones. Mariscal de EE.UU. de Arena Hopkins (Raymond Hatton) llega a tiempo para ver a su viejo amigo, la Jefa de proyecto de Ley de Barstow (Robert Frazer), asesinado, y su hijo Tom Barstow (Kirby Subvención) celebrada por un robo y el asesinato hecho por la banda. Nevada libera a Tom y se esconde de él en el café de ejecución por Clem Martin (Steve Clark), el padre de la novia de Tom, Ruth (Christine McIntyre). Sandy está trabajando de incógnito como un salón de swamper, y aprende muchos planes de la banda.
