María Collins muere dejando dos hijos; Mildred ('Lucie') y Franco. En su lecho de muerte, ella da a Frank un reloj de plata que perteneció a su padre. Los niños son separados unos de otros y crecer con padres de crianza. Lucie y Frank reunirse de nuevo cuando él la rescata de un ladrón. Caen en el amor, conscientes de que son hermano y hermana. En el día de su boda Frank es asesinado por el vengativo ladrón. La bala, sin embargo, es detenido por la plata reloj. Al ver el reloj, Lucie se da cuenta de que son hermano y hermana, y el matrimonio es anulado.
