Abusado y dominado por los hombres en su juventud, Belle Starr ahora fuera olas, los humos, los brotes, y juega como ella hace su camino alrededor del Viejo Oeste, generalmente usando atuendo masculino. Un hombre que es su igual es Larry Blackie, con quien tiene un en-otra vez, fuera de nuevo la relación que a menudo es argumentativo y a veces violentos. Juntos, ellos se involucran en un robo que sale mal. Belle tiene que rescatar a Larry y a pesar de que él está agradecido, ahora quiere seguir su propio camino.
