Smith tercer largometraje fue originalmente titulada "El Secuestro de Wendell Willkie por el Amor Bandido", en reacción a la Campaña Presidencial de 1968. Willkie era un liberal Republicano, que iba en contra de franklin delano ROOSEVELT en la década de 1940. Se mezcla B&W material de archivo de Smith criaturas con el viejo de la campaña de material de archivo de Willkie. El clímax de la obra parece ser la "subasta" del candidato presidencial en la convención.
