Ali (Amit Sial) es un fotógrafo y mensajero en bicicleta que vive en Nueva York. En él se desarrolla una amistad y se cae en el amor con una mujer casada, Saloni Oberoi (Mahima Chaudhry). Cuando su marido, Harry Oberoi (Vikram Chatwal), es asesinado durante los ataques del 11 de septiembre, Harry padre, un Coronel retirado (Anupam Kher), comienza a tomar sus agresiones en Ali para ser un Musulmán. Aunque la Señora Oberoi (Suhasini Mulay) intenta detener el Coronel del comportamiento, la situación se agrava como el Coronel, a sí mismo, se convierte en el objetivo de social post-9/11 agresión dirigida hacia él porque es un Sikh.
