El experto en artes marciales Jim Koo muere de forma repentina y en circunstancias extrañas siendo, su mejor amigo Lee Chun-Keung el principal sospechoso de su muerte. Durante el funeral de Koo, un helicóptero roba su ataúd... Chun-keung intenta averiguar la verdad sobre la misteriosa muerte de su amigo pero muere en un desafortunado accidente. Entonces, su hermano menor, Chun Kwok se entrena durante años para perfeccionar su técnica en un templo budista. Chun Kwok está dispuesto a investigar el caso y descubrir toda la verdad por lo que partirá hacia El Castillo de la Muerte, uno de los últimos lugares en los que estuvo Jim antes de morir... Al igual que pasó con parte de "Juego con la muerte" (Game of Death, 1978), que se acabó de rodar tras la muerte de Bruce Lee, aquí en todas en las que sale el gran maestro de las artes marciales se usó material de archivo.
