Bobby Hijo, vástago de una Nueva York de la banca de la familia (y también un talento de canto y baile de hombre), es enviado por su madre a ejecutar la Gaiety Theatre en Deadrock, Nevada. Una vez allí, sin embargo, él se enamora de la hija del teatro del propietario, y se ve involucrado en un plan para salvar el día, poniendo en un magnífico espectáculo.
