Al Bridge
Al Puente era un Americano actor de carácter, un accesorio, tanto en las películas del Oeste y en las comedias de Preston Sturges. Aunque con frecuencia la factura como Alan Puente, nació Alfred Morton Puente en Filadelfia, Pensilvania, en 1891 (no como Alford Puente en 1890, como su lápida indica erróneamente). Siguiente servicio como un soldado en el Ejército de los estados UNIDOS de infantería en la primera Guerra Mundial, el Puente se unió a una tropa de teatro. Incursionó en la escritura y en 1930 se vende un guión para un cortometraje, Ella empleó Marido (1930). Él siguió esto con un B-Oeste de la secuencia de comandos, el País de Dios y el Hombre (1931), en el cual hizo su película debut como actor. Para el próximo cuarto de siglo, logró la atípica logro de mantener una carrera en ambos B-Westerns y en las grandes dramáticos y de comedia características. Diez películas para el director Preston Sturges representan, probablemente, su más conocido contribución a la historia de Hollywood. Puente también apareció con frecuencia en la televisión hasta su muerte en 1957 en el 66.
